Vivian Renfro

Lady - Elect Vivian Rena’ Renfro is a native of Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Master’s degree in Human Resources Leadership.  She has worked more than 30 years in the private sector as an engineer and Human Resource professional at 3M. Lady Renfro has held various leadership positions in the Austin community. She has served as former chairperson of the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering, board member of Inroads Inc.’s Austin Affiliate, board member of Children’s Haven Inc., Meals on Wheels and More and served on several United Way Campaigns.

Lady Renfro has been a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church for more than 20 years. She is actively involved with the Deaconess and Children’s Church. She serves quietly on several committees and works wherever needed in the church.  She is one that gives her best whenever and wherever; always preferring to serve, rather than to be served.  She is a true demonstration of what it means to serve others, support family, church and her husband all while keeping God first in whatever she seeks to do.

Lady Renfro has been happily married to Pastor Gary M. Renfro since 1989.  God has blessed them with three wonderful children: one son, David and twin daughters Rachel and Rebekah.  Being a wife and mother means everything to Lady Renfro because she is the product of a single family home, raised primarily by her grandparents and mom.  She understands the struggles, sacrifices and commitment of a single mom and grandparents.  As a mom, she made sure her children knew God, what it meant to serve in the kingdom and be respectful and obedient.   She loves to pass on what her mom instilled in her as a child and that is to encourage others to do and be their absolute best regardless of circumstances.  Lady Renfro has relied  on God’s word as she seeks to be humble and obedient as a wife, mother and servant of the Lord. One of her favorite scriptures is Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Lady Renfro’s passion for Servantship, Discipleship and Leadership are demonstrated as she builds friendships and relationships at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and throughout the Austin Community.
